Plurk

Just finished reading Roy Tennant's comment. I am as gitty as a school girl. I went to his blog roytennant.com and he has a feed to his name so when anyone "tags" it I guess it comes up and that's how he found me. Anyway I was checking out some of the sites he follows and I found www.walkingpaper.com and on there the person was talking about a new site called Plurk, it is like twitter I guess, but what I found interesting about it is that you gain "karma" , you do or say dumb things you lose karma. You do and say good things you gain "karma". I find it interesting the way words for programs and sites are being used to mean something in a slightly different way. Twitter, karma, Flickr, wetpaint, ect. Are you understanding what I mean? Take for example karma. We all understand the definition, so therefore when the plurk site uses it for rating peoples' postings, it is understood. Or pbwiki, we all know making a peanut butter sandwich is easy, so the name implies easy. The words carry feelings which the creator wants us to implicitly feel and understand. Making sense?
